My big sister, a keen fashion historian and seamstress, always wanted me to keep a daily fashion diary that would serve as a record for future generations of everyday dress in our lifetime.
Sadly, my sister died in 2011, before our project came to fruition. This blog is for her; I'm just sorry that I didn't start it sooner. I hope she would approve.

This morning, I was feeling pretty sad. It’s a difficult time, and coming back to London late on a winter’s night brought back a lot of sad memories. Fortunately, the sun is shining, and it is a glorious day - and weather like this makes it difficult to feel sad for long. After a good walk in the sunshine during my lunch break, I feel much cheered. I also feel cheered by this zesty lime green teeshirt that I’m wearing! It’s good old Uniqlo, and I’m very pleased to also be wearing my Uniqlo X Laura Ashley floral stole, which I did not expect to be wearing for at least another month. I’ve paired these fun items with tailored, wide-legged trousers, a fitted blazer (it was my sister’s), and my big cream Charles & Keith bag (a fun brand that I found in Singapore). Finally, I added my blue earrings again.
The only trouble is, the sunshine’s so bright that my photographs didn’t come out too well! (I’m just using the self timer app on my iPhone today). Ah well!
