My big sister, a keen fashion historian and seamstress, always wanted me to keep a daily fashion diary that would serve as a record for future generations of everyday dress in our lifetime.

Sadly, my sister died in 2011, before our project came to fruition. This blog is for her; I'm just sorry that I didn't start it sooner. I hope she would approve.

Date: Monday 4th June 2012 Place: At home in London

This morning, I chose my eco-friendly, locally produced dress from The Third Estate for an afternoon of shopping with my mum. I accessorised with tomato red shoes and necklace, a charcoal grey bag and black blazer. Flat shoes were definitely in order, because mum was on the hunt for an outfit to wear for a wedding - I knew we would be doing some serious walking around the shops of London!
