My big sister, a keen fashion historian and seamstress, always wanted me to keep a daily fashion diary that would serve as a record for future generations of everyday dress in our lifetime.

Sadly, my sister died in 2011, before our project came to fruition. This blog is for her; I'm just sorry that I didn't start it sooner. I hope she would approve.

  1. Date: Tuesday 14th August 2012 Place: A building site…

Today, I visited my boyfriend on the building site for this project in Kew (he’s an architect, and I was in the area while house hunting). I stopped off for a quick chat before moving on to another viewing. Today was a super hot day - it was a cloudy start and I almost went for jeans and trainers, but a glance at the weather forecast suggested that might not be a good idea. It was a scorcher! I was much too warm even in this little tunic dress and ballet flats. I definitely didn’t need the blazer! Phew…

Keep an eye on http://kewhouse.info to see how the project’s going - it’s very exciting!
